So if you are an Apes fan and don't need the Japanese subtitles, then I would advise buying the English editions of this boxset, which include 14 discs (not 12) and have the animated series.

I don't know why the Japanese one excluded the animated series, but it's absence means this is not a 'complete' Complete Edition.
